The “Salix Polaris” book is the result of Anka Sielska’s trip to the Stanislaw Siedlecki Polar Station in Hornsund in South Spitsbergen alongside several Polish scientists. Instead of being a typical album of travel photographs, it tells the hypnotic story of confrontation with nature, other people and, above all, a story of internal struggle.
Książka „Salix Polaris” jest efektem podróży Anki Sielskiej, którą odbyła wraz z polskimi naukowcami, do Polskiej Stacji Polarnej im. Stanisława Siedleckiego w Hornsundzie na południowym Spitsbergenie. Nie jest to jednak typowy album z fotografiami z podróży. To oniryczna historia o konfrontacji z naturą oraz drugim człowiekiem. A przede wszystkim historia o zmaganiu się z samym sobą.
