In the “Museum Studies” project, Justyna Wierzchowiecka presents her auteurist inquiry into the current status of museums as institutions and the museum exhibit. Her photographs challenge the value of physical institutional collections in times when the availability, popularity and technological advancement of on-line audiovisual archives suggest that physical contact with exhibits is a thing of the past.
W projekcie „Museum Studies” Justyna Wierzchowiecka poddaje autorskiej weryfikacji zagadnienia dotyczące aktualnego statusu instytucji muzeum i muzealnego eksponatu. Jej fotografie poddają w wątpliwość wagę fizycznych, instytucjonalnych zbiorów w czasach, kiedy dostępność i poziom zaawansowania audiowizualnych archiwów on-line i ich rosnąca popularność pozwalają stwierdzić, że potrzeba fizycznego kontaktu ze zbiorami może stopniowo zanikać.
