The “Patrząc Watching An Sehen” catalogue is the result of student-led research into visual communication. The project was led jointly by students from the Massachusetts College of Arts and Design in Boston and students of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, and supervised by Elizabeth Resnick and Jan Kubasiewicz (MassArt) and Ewa Satalecka (PJATK). The publication features traditional and multimedia drafts, fragments of statements taken during a comparative inquiry into the subjects of creation, publication and the perception of visual communication. The designers aimed to relay the atmosphere of an international and multi-cultural meeting, bringing together objective information and subjective remarks from the participants.
Katalog „Patrząc. Watching An Sehen” powstał jako rezultat studenckich badań nad komunikacją wizualną. Projekt prowadzony był wspólnie przez studentów Massachusetts Colege of Arts and Design w Bostonie i Polsko-Japońskiej Akademii Technik Komputerowych w Warszawie, pod opieką profesorów: Elizabeth Resnick i Jana Kubasiewicza (MassArt) oraz Ewy Sataleckiej (PJATK). Publikacja zawiera tradycyjne i multimedialne szkice oraz fragmenty wypowiedzi, które są rezultatem działania poznawczo-porównawczego poświęconego kreacji, publikacji i percepcji komunikatów wizualnych. Projektanci starali się oddać atmosferę międzynarodowego i międzykulturowego spotkania, równoważąc informacje obiektywne i nieformalne spostrzeżenia uczestników.
